Since 1967 we have designed and manufactured most kinds of converting and web-processing machinery. We make our machinery rugged, easy to use and safe. By using a modular design concept we can provide individual modules for operation as stand-alone units or in-line with existing processes. We are especially skillful at building entire systems that integrate several converting processes into one system.

Our Slitting & Traverse Winding Systems are well-known throughout the converting world as being among the best you can buy. Our brands – SMARTWINDERS™, SMARTWINDERS-XL™, SPOOL-MATE have become the standard by which other spooling systems are judged. We market our machinery all over the world and have systems on every continent!

Our technical and customer support is always available to our U.S. and international customers. Our equipment is built to U.S. national codes; equipment to the EC carries the CE mark.

Independent Machine Company, is located in Fairfield, New Jersey (30 minutes from NYC or Newark Airport). Our machinery is manufactured at our facilities by a great team of men and women, with many years of converting machinery experience.
