| The 2-Position Traverse Winding machine has a driven "S" wrap pull roll section which follows the process speed. Two (2) independent spooling positions both have an electronic traverse for pitch, stroke length and end dwell positioning. Adjustable torque winding tension at each position is controlled through individual electric clutches driven from the main follower drive which enable the winder to operate in-line with virtually any existing extrusion or related process through the speed range to 400 FPM. Both positions are cantilevered, arranged in a vertical stack and accommodate a flange spool up to 30" diameter with 10" OD core & 1.5" bore secured by a button actuated internal latch. A series of low inertia rolling guides transport the strand to the spools without imparting additional tension.
An inline pneumatic loaded accumulator clamp and cut off provides approximately 30 feet of storage capacity which is sufficient to enable spool changeover without disturbing the extrusion or incurring tension loss.
