| 20" Slitter with Die Cutting & Duplex Turret Rewind | |||
| Independent Machine Co. has developed another high performance Slitter with Die Cutting & Duplex Turret Rewind specifically designed for converting pressure sensitive label stock up to 20" wide with and without liner. |
|

| In addition to the standard IMC interchangeable slitting assemblies for shear and score capability, the machine includes rotary die cutting with matrix rewind, two "S" wrap pull roll sections for programmable "draw" control during slitting and traversing edge trim take up.
The separate unwind accommodates supply rolls up to 45" diameter and includes programmable closed loop constant tension, auto edge guiding with lateral positioning & skew adjustment. The cantilevered duplex turret rewind can accommodate rolls up to 15" diameter and operates in both centerwind & pneumatic differential modes. As the two "active" rewind shafts are winding the slit rolls, both "waiting" shafts are prepared with new cores for the auto cut and transfer sequence. As the rewinding rolls reach their programmed length the turret automatically indexes the empty cores into position. The automatic knife severs the web and the pneumatic actuated layon roll presses the cut strands to the preglued empty cores to complete the transfer. A pneumatic dancer/accumulator provides sufficient storage to maintain process speed and programmed tension during the auto cut & transfer sequence. The unit is driven by a three drive DC system with a speed range to 650 FPM. Other features include Allen-Bradley PLC, machine mounted drive panel and operator controls, plasma and silicone coated roll surfaces. |
