Now Independent Machine Company, manufacturer of the worlds finest slitting and spooling machines, makes available the SMARTWINDERS - 2000™ System of modular spooling equipment.

The SMARTWINDERS - 2000™ System offers you incomparable flexibility, high performance and cost savings for spooling virtually any material. The SMARTWINDERS - 2000™ System is a single spooling module that can be used alone or with a series of units tailored to your specific winding needs. Each winder is a self-contained computerized unit that offers precision spooling from most slitting or extrusion processes. An IMC slitter used with the SMARTWINDERS - 2000™ provides the most accurate integrated spooling system for narrow width, tension sensitive materials.

SMARTWINDERS - 2000™ takes the work out of convertng with its easy to use recipe storage, information downloading and precise tension control. Each module increases production by virtually eliminating operator error and set-up downtime to produce perfect spools of exceptional length.

Just like the larger single and multi-spool IMC brands (TORQWINDERS®, FLEXWINDERS®, SMARTWINDERS® and SMARTWINDERS-XL®) each SMARTWINDERS - 2000TM is engineered for precision and low maintenance. Each unit is ruggedly constructed of light weight aluminum and other quality materials.

The SMARTWINDERS - 2000™ is capable of spooling strands as narrow as .015" with the lowest, most precise programmable tension range available. The SMARTWINDERS - 2000™ drive will follow virtually any process within grams of tension accuracy throughout the speed range. Each computerized traverse is capable of programmable pitch, stroke length and end dwell adjustments within .003" accuracy.
